The Hyundai Tucson has been one of the most popular small crossovers in America since it was introduced for the 2005 model. It was so popular, in fact, that it inspired a lot of copycats, which led to an automotive segment that seemed rather homogenous at times. With the 2022 Hyundai Tucson, which will be available at Arapahoe Hyundai in Summer 2021, Hyundai not only shakes up the class once again but introduces a design that is bold and modern and will likely reshape the segment in the decade ahead. Our location serving Aurora Denver Centennial Littleton will offer the new Tucson in four core trim levels: SE, SEL, SEL Premium and Limited. There will also be an N Line variant in addition to a plug-in hybrid edition plus a standard hybrid model available in three trim levels: Blue, SEL and Limited.

The wheelbase is increased from 105.1 inches to 108.5, and the overall length is increased from 176.4 to 182.3—which is just a bit more than 15 feet. Standard features include 17-inch alloy wheels, LED headlamps, LED daytime running lamps and a rear spoiler. The SEL adds roof rails, LED taillamps, rear privacy glass and heated side mirrors with integrated LED turn signals. The Limited adds fancier front and rear fascias, premium DRLs, a sunroof and a hands-free smart power liftgate with auto open. Not that many features are available earlier in the lineup as options.

The 2022 Hyundai Tucson near Aurora is a two-row compact crossover that seats up to three. The total passenger volume is 108.2 cubic feet. Front headroom is 40.1 inches. Front legroom is 41.4 inches, and rear legroom is 41.3 inches, which is among the biggest in the class. The dedicated cargo volume is also quite impressive at 41.2 cubic feet, and the total cargo space available is 80.3 cubes. The base model features stain-resistant cloth upholstery, and leather seating is available and included standard depending on the trim level. Other notable standard features include an 8-inch touchscreen, front dual USB outlets, push-button ignition, LED interior lighting and steering wheel infotainment controls.

With the gas powertrain, the 2022 Hyundai Tucson near Aurora comes with front-wheel drive standard, but all-wheel drive is optional at all trim levels. The hybrid model has a turbocharged 1.6-liter i-4 engine along with an electric motor, a lithium-ion polymer battery pack and a six-speed automatic transmission with SHIFTRONIC. This setup combines for 226 hp. The plug-in variant makes 227 hp and is able to operate on just electric for 32 miles.

Standard equipment includes a rearview monitor, which the Limited upgrades to a surround-view monitor. Other standard driver assists include forward collision avoidance with pedestrian detection and lane keeping.
