Frequently Asked Questions

8 common questions answered

What are the known NHTSA recalls for a 2019 Hyundai Veloster?
The NHTSA has issued six recalls affecting the 2019 Hyundai Veloster: five engine-related recalls and one door‑latch recall. Engine recalls involve premature bearing wear and piston ring heat‑treat issues that can cause engine damage, stall, or fire; the door latch recall covers potential door opening in certain side impacts (Hyundai recall numbers include 198 and 183).
How do I check if my 2019 Hyundai Veloster has an open recall?
You can check your VIN on NHTSA.gov or bring your vehicle to our service team for a free VIN recall check. Or contact Arapahoe Hyundai service and we will verify recalls for you — you can schedule service online for a VIN check at no charge.
How much does a 2019 Hyundai Veloster recall repair cost?
Manufacturer recall repairs are performed free of charge to the vehicle owner. At Arapahoe Hyundai in Centennial, CO, recall repairs use OEM parts and factory-trained technicians so there are no out-of-pocket costs for covered recall work; we also offer service financing if you need additional non-covered work.
Can I get my 2019 Hyundai Veloster recall fixed at an independent shop or do I need a dealer?
Recall repairs must be completed by an authorized dealer to ensure proper OEM parts, factory procedures, and documentation; Arapahoe Hyundai is a certified Hyundai franchise and performs free recall repairs. Independent shops cannot provide manufacturer warranty recall repairs — bring your vehicle to your local certified Hyundai dealer for safe, documented recall service.
How long does a 2019 Hyundai Veloster recall repair take?
Repair time varies by recall; many inspections or software deployments can be completed in a few hours, while engine replacements take longer and may require parts availability. Our team will provide an estimated turnaround when you schedule service; ask about express options and check current service specials to minimize downtime.
Does an open recall affect my 2019 Hyundai Veloster's trade-in or resale value?
An unresolved recall can lower trade-in offers or complicate private sales because many buyers and dealers check NHTSA records before purchase. Resolving recalls at Arapahoe Hyundai protects value — get a free recall repair and request documentation to show to prospective buyers or trade-in appraisers (value your trade).
Can I fail a state inspection because of an unresolved 2019 Hyundai Veloster recall?
Some states and inspection programs may flag open recalls or safety-related items; unresolved safety recalls can complicate registration or inspection outcomes. To avoid issues, verify and resolve any open recalls at Arapahoe Hyundai — schedule appointment for a free inspection and recall repair documentation.
