How do I check if my 2026 Hyundai Santa Fe has an open recall?
You can check your vehicle by entering its VIN at NHTSA.gov or bring the VIN to Arapahoe Hyundai and our team will verify it for free. If you prefer, call our service department or schedule service and we will run a manufacturer recall lookup and advise next steps. We use OEM diagnostic tools and factory-trained technicians to confirm any open recalls and to perform required repairs at no charge.
How much does a 2026 Hyundai Santa Fe recall repair cost?
Manufacturer recall repairs are free of charge to the vehicle owner when performed at a certified franchise dealer like Arapahoe Hyundai. That means parts, labor, and required inspections linked to NHTSA recalls are covered by Hyundai under the recall campaign. If additional non-recall services are recommended, we will disclose costs up front and offer service financing and current service specials.
Can I get my 2026 Hyundai Santa Fe recall fixed at an independent shop or do I need a dealer?
Recall repairs must be completed by a dealer to ensure factory parts and correct repair procedures; Arapahoe Hyundai is your local certified Hyundai dealer for recall work. For convenience, schedule service with Arapahoe Hyundai in Centennial and we will handle the recall repair at no cost.
How long does a 2026 Hyundai Santa Fe recall repair take?
Most recall repairs are completed in a few hours, but exact turnaround varies by recall type and parts availability; Arapahoe Hyundai provides a time estimate when you schedule appointment. For safety-critical issues like hood latch corrosion or ABS module concerns, we prioritize appointments and may provide loaner options or expedited service where possible. Our factory-trained technicians use OEM diagnostic tools to complete repairs correctly the first time and minimize downtime.
Does an open recall affect my 2026 Hyundai Santa Fe's trade-in or resale value?
An unresolved recall can negatively affect trade-in offers and resale value because many buyers and dealers check NHTSA records and vehicle history reports. Having recalls addressed at Arapahoe Hyundai documents that repairs were completed by a certified dealer using OEM parts, which protects resale value and buyer confidence. We can help with a free recall check before you list or trade; visit our trade-in appraisal page after repairs to maximize value.
Can I fail a state inspection because of an unresolved 2026 Hyundai Santa Fe recall?
Yes — some recalls (for example TPMS or safety restraint systems) can affect inspection results; unresolved safety recalls may cause failed inspections in some states. To avoid inspection issues, bring your vehicle to Arapahoe Hyundai to confirm and complete any required recall repairs at no cost. If you need financing for unrelated maintenance, ask about our service financing options when you schedule service.

Defect

Hyundai Motor America (Hyundai) is recalling certain 2013-2017 Santa Fe and Santa Fe Sport vehicles. In the affected vehicles, the secondary hood latch actuating cable may corrode and bind, causing the secondary hood latch to remain in the unlatched position when the hood is closed.

Consequence

If the hood is not securely closed or the primary latch is inadvertently released and the secondary latch is not engaged, the hood could unexpectedly open while driving, increasing the risk of a vehicle crash.

Corrective Action

Hyundai will notify owners, and dealers will replace the secondary latch cable, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin June 30, 2017. Owner's may contact Hyundai customer service at 1-855-671-3059. Hyundai's number for the recall is 163.
